How do I create an account?+
Register with email or mobile, confirm OTP, then complete Create Profile. You receive 50 free tokens on signup.
How do I get verified?+
Complete email/mobile checks, upload ID front & back, then take a live selfie for face match. Optional video intro adds more trust.
What if my selfie looks a bit different from my ID?+
Small differences are normal. Use good lighting, face the camera, and avoid glare. Soft matches are accepted when similarity is still strong enough.
My face match failed — what next?+
Retake the selfie: front-facing, no heavy filters, good light, remove sunglasses. If it still fails, contact support with clear photos.

How does matching work?+
We combine preference fit (city, education, faith, lifestyle) with an astrology compatibility score from both zodiacs.
How does astrology matching work?+
Your date of birth sets your zodiac. Profiles show an astrology % next to preference fit. Low scores never block messaging.
Can I change preferences later?+
Yes — update filters anytime from Search and Settings. New matches refresh based on your latest preferences.
Why do some matches rank higher?+
Higher combined astrology + preference scores, verification status, and mutual interest patterns can lift a profile in your list.
Chat, calls & tokens
Are tokens free?+
Yes for now. Every member receives 50 free tokens on signup to use for interests, chat opens, calls, and boosts.
What do tokens cost?+
Typical costs: Send Interest (2), open chat (1), voice call (5), video call (8), profile boost (10). See Tokens in the dashboard.
Will my phone number be shared in chat?+
No. Numbers stay hidden. Share contact details only if you choose to do so outside the app after mutual trust.
Can I do voice notes?+
Yes — messaging supports text and voice-style communication patterns in the chat UI.
Family & privacy
Can parents join?+
Yes. Invite parents through the Family module for review, approvals, and group discussions without public phone exposure.
How do I go private?+
Use privacy settings to limit discovery while remaining visible to accepted interests and family-approved paths.
How do I report someone?+
Open the profile or chat → Report, or use Contact with subject Safety. Include names and times if possible.
How do I delete my account?+
Go to Settings and request deletion, or email support@astrorishta.com from your registered email.
